Peter was the barman in question and he deserves to be complimented. We have now been here for almost a year and our confidence has been rewarded.
He had no problem whatsoever taking orders from the gents who were on the move from table to table which can be confusing for some. We met some old and created some new friends and acquaintances. The event for 30s & 40s on Sun 28th August 2011 was a turning point because Lauren, the proprietor, improved the lighting and general ambience of the Hub with dimmers, red lights and candles etc.
there's a chatfest site but it never seems to update!
has anyone gone speed dating and how did ye find it?
thanksrebelpixie I did it once with Red FM before when I was a single lad, it was great fun, but there were some complete utter nutjobs at it.
Jim, Wicklow Hugh I was delighted to hear about your matchmaking service.
Hopefully we have some similar interests but I don't mind..
This is a great idea to keep children busy during down times (bus stop, bus duty, bus ride home, etc.).
Table Service: One thing that we found refreshing was the constant table service given through the course of the event.
We began a new chapter in August 2012 by moving our speeddating events to the Briar Rose in Cork. Feedback Since we started here on Sunday last 26th August 2012 our events in general have gone from strength to strength except for our 40s & 50s age group.
